Road America is one of North America’s premier road racing circuits, renowned for its rich history, challenging layout, and scenic setting. Located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, the track has been a cornerstone of American motorsports since its opening in 1955. Often referred to as “America’s National Park of Speed,” Road America spans 640 acres of rolling countryside in Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region.
The track itself is a permanent road course measuring 4.048 miles (6.515 km) with 14 turns. It’s widely respected for its combination of long straights, sweeping curves, and technical corners, making it a favorite among drivers and fans alike. Key sections of the track include the high-speed Kettle Bottoms, the challenging Carousel turn, and the Canada Corner, all of which test a driver’s skill and nerve.
