One more win, One step closer

Six may be Jimmie Johnson’s lucky number. Johnson’s sixth win of the season may have put him on track for his sixth Cup championship. This was a dominant win for Johnson as he led 255 of the 367 laps at Texas Motor Speedway. Combine that with a speeding down pit road penalty for Matt Kenseth and Johnson is looking strong for another Championship trophy. For more details, go to Speedway Digest.

Keslowski outduels Hamlin for Nationwide at Texas

Keslowski ran up front early and late, turning his dominant performance into a nearly a one-second win at Texas Motor Speedway. The highest finishing Nationwide regular was Sam Hornish as Denny Hamlin ran second to Keslowski. This win gave the Penske #22 a definitive edge in the Owners’ Points for the Nationwide Series.
