April Showers bring Monday NASCAR

bilde

A late-lap pass by Joey Logano gave the Sprint Cup series its seventh winner in seven weeks. Logano was on his way to the win until Kurt Busch brought out the last caution of the race, just before Logano was about the take the white flag on Lap 266. This brought about a Green-White-Checkered finish. All of the lead lap cars pit with the Busch caution – now strategy was in play. Jeff Gordon opted for 2 tires and first off pit road. Logano took 4, along with most others. Gordon got a good restart but couldn’t hold off the hard charging Logano. One last lap pass later and “Sliced Bread” was heading to Victory Lane.
