Summary: Thursday night into Friday morning will see a surface low-pressure system move a cold front through the Eastern US. This front will reach the region between Friday evening and the overnight hours, initiating thunderstorms, and then stalls South of the Montgomery area.  Weak upper-level divergence will help to destabilize the atmosphere from Thursday to Sunday. The stalled front will act as a lifting mechanism for storms & showers in the ArLaTex region.  These storms & showers will be advected into the region throughout the day on Saturday, most likely reaching the area by the afternoon hours. On Sunday, a weak upper-level trough will lead to the development of a weak surface low-pressure system along the Texas Gulf Coast.  The weak lifting from the low pressure as well as the divergence aloft associated with the approaching upper-level trough will lead to broad stratiform precipitation, with some pockets of convection.  Precipitable water values around 1.5 inches, as well as the width of the region of precipitation, could lead to rainfall amounts nearing an inch on Sunday.  The precipitation should end in the late afternoon to early evening on Sunday.  On Monday, surface high pressure will dominate after the low-pressure system moves Eastward, leading to clear skies.  On Sunday, sunset will be around 7:20 PM.  Throughout the weekend, track drying will take longer than normal.  Cloudy skies will limit evaporation due to solar radiation, and RH values in the 80s-90s on Saturday and 60s-80s on Sunday will also limit evaporation.  With precipitation forecasted to stay in the area until the late afternoon, it will be very difficult to dry the track effectively on Sunday.
