NASCAR Forecast Discussion
Lime Rock Park
Friday, July 10
Warm and increasingly humid conditions are expected as temperatures climb into the middle 80s during the afternoon. Sunshine during the morning will give way to building clouds, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms developing later in the day as daytime heating combines with increasing moisture. Most on-track activities should be completed without interruption, but teams should keep an eye on radar by mid- to late afternoon. Any storm that develops could produce brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, although widespread washouts are not anticipated.
Saturday, July 11
A much more comfortable day is expected compared to recent heat, with highs in the lower 80s. Partly sunny skies will prevail, although enough moisture and daytime heating should generate isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Rain coverage appears less widespread than across the Southeast, but any storm could briefly interrupt track activity with lightning and locally heavy rainfall. Most of the day should remain suitable for racing.

More about Lime Rock Park
Lime Rock Park is one of North America's most historic and scenic road courses. Located in the rolling hills of northwestern Connecticut, the 1.53-mile (2.46-kilometer), seven-turn circuit opened in 1957 and has become a favorite among drivers for its fast, flowing layout and minimal margin for error. The track's natural terrain creates elevation changes and challenging corner sequences, rewarding precision and momentum rather than outright horsepower.
Lime Rock has hosted generations of sports car competition, including IMSA, SCCA, Trans-Am, and historic racing events, while also welcoming NASCAR for select weekends. Its picturesque New England setting and close proximity between fans and the racing surface create one of the most intimate spectator experiences in motorsports. The circuit's compact layout often produces close racing, frequent traffic management, and exciting battles throughout the field.
