More about Knoxville Raceway

Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, is one of the most iconic venues in American dirt-track racing. Known as the “Sprint Car Capital of the World,” the legendary half-mile dirt oval is located at the Marion County Fairgrounds and has been a centerpiece of sprint car competition for generations.

The track is best known as the home of the Knoxville Nationals, one of sprint car racing’s premier events, while also hosting weekly competition and other major events throughout the season. Knoxville’s high speeds and dirt surface make weather particularly important, as rainfall, temperature, wind and humidity can significantly influence track preparation and racing conditions. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is also located adjacent to the raceway.
