I saw on the national news tonight that a tropical storm is headed right towards the east coast and Charlotte way.

That’s correct. There’s mention of it in the forecast section, plus the storm (Tropical Depression #2) has its own discussion below.

Thank you for your comment and for using RaceWeather as your source for race day weather.

Is the race going to be cancelled?

    1. Aaron Studwell Posted on May 29, 2016 at 1:48 am

Right now, it doesn’t look like it. While the forecast is for rain during the day, it is forecast to diminish during the evening hours. There is a chance of showers during the evening hours, it will likely be in the form of a passing shower. So delays will be possible, but racing is more likely. Hope this helps.

You’re right about that. I really hoping that NASCAR will get the whole race in tomorrow night.

Thanks for Raceweather…I refer to it every week….Is there anywhere we can get a look at weather radar for the track at Charlotte?

I’m sorry for the day. On last Sunday, my father passed away unexpectedly that morning. So while I was kind of around, I was in a different mode. Thank you for understanding.
