5/28 Charlotte Motor Speedway update

As of 12:15 PM ET, the Charlotte area radar showed a line of showers and storms across central SC, moving to the northeast. The THU forecast is for scattered showers and storms moving across the region. These are being triggered by a trough associated the remnant low of Bertha, along with a strong upper-level system extending across the eastern half of the US. The risk for showers will drop into the evening hours, similar to this past Sunday. So early delays are possible and I will continue to post updates through the day & into the evening.

I will continue to provide updates here, on Patreon, along with my social media, Facebook and on Twitter, @RaceWeather.

During the race week, I recorded this week’s Lapped Traffic Podcast which will include special guest, MRN’s Alex Hayden. Also, the host, Brandon Croud, and I sat down, caught up the Sunday Cup race, looked ahead to the Tuesday and Wednesday races, as well as a look-ahead to the race weekend at Charlotte.

Thank you for your continuing support.
