October 27 PM forecast (Updated 8:30 PM CDT/9:30 PM EDT)
The low-pressure system currently residing along the Texas coast is finally expected to lift northeast and out of the region. This will be pushed along by a very strong upper-level system, which will give north Texas a break from the persistent low-level saturated flow.
Earlier in the day, the upper-level jet, combined with a surface trough, this will bring moderate to heavy rains, along with a risk of isolated thunderstorms. The rain is expected to clear out of the region during the afternoon hours, ending between 2-4 PM CDT. Add in track drying, then we will be looking at a start time around 3:30 to 5:30 PM CDT.
Wed Oct 28 –Rain & isolated t-storms, windy (Evening: WNW, 12-18 mph with higher gusts), 50/41
Thurs Oct 29 – Partly sunny, windy (NW, 16-22 mph), 55/45
